Statement of Beliefs

Restoring the Remnant

Rooted in Isaiah 61 & Matthew 28

Our Foundation

We believe Jesus Christ is the Anointed One who fulfills the promise of Isaiah 61 and commissions His people in Matthew 28. He is the One who heals the brokenhearted, proclaims freedom to the captives, restores what has been devastated, and sends His disciples into all nations with authority, clarity, and power.

Restoring the Remnant exists to join Him in this work to proclaim good news, to rebuild what has been torn down, and to make disciples who walk in healing, identity, and purpose.

Our Beliefs

1. The Anointing and the Mission of Jesus

We believe the Spirit of the Lord is upon Jesus and upon His people.
We affirm that He anoints us to:

  • proclaim good news to the poor

  • bind up the brokenhearted

  • announce freedom to the captive and release to the prisoner

  • comfort those who mourn

  • rebuild ancient ruins and restore devastated places

This is not symbolic work. It is the heart of our calling.

2. The Authority of Christ

We believe Jesus has been given all authority in heaven and on earth, and that His authority shapes our identity, our, and our mission.
We go because He sends.
We teach because He commands.
We disciple because He is with us always.

3. Healing, Restoration, and Wholeness

We believe the gospel brings healing to the whole person — spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and communally.
We stand with those who are wounded, oppressed, or grieving, and we participate in God’s restorative work with compassion, courage, and honor.

4. Covenant Community

We believe God forms His people into a covenant family marked by:

  • compassion

  • humility

  • gentleness

  • patience

  • forgiveness

  • love

  • peace

  • gratitude

We commit to living these virtues together as a witness to the Kingdom.

5. Discipleship and Formation

We believe discipleship is the ongoing work of becoming like Jesus.
We teach His ways, practice His commands, and walk with people as they grow in maturity, identity, and obedience.
We believe every believer is called to be both a disciple and a disciple‑maker.

6. The Word and the Spirit

We believe the Word of God forms us, and the Spirit of God empowers us.
We let Scripture dwell richly among us, and we rely on the Holy Spirit for wisdom, healing, discernment, and boldness.

7. Service and Witness

We believe we are sent people, called to serve, to rebuild, to restore, and to proclaim the Kingdom of God wherever we go.
Our witness is expressed through love, justice, compassion, and the authority of Christ.

Our Commitment

As a remnant people, we commit to:

  • embodying the healing mission of Isaiah 61

  • fulfilling the disciple‑making mandate of Matthew 28

  • living as oaks of righteousness planted by the Lord

  • rebuilding what has been broken

  • restoring what has been lost

  • carrying the presence, power, and peace of Jesus into every sphere of life

We stand as a covenant community — rooted in Scripture, empowered by the Spirit, and faithful to Christ’s mission until He returns.
