31 Days Later

Reflections of a Co-Host and a Mother

When I was first asked to be one of the co- hosts of 31 Days of Triumphant Parenting virtual prayer line, I hesitated.

Not because I don’t love prayer—but because I know my own life. I know how full my schedule is, how unpredictable motherhood can be, and how often I feel like I’m still figuring things out myself.

I didn’t feel like the “right” person to lead anything. Not to mention, Antara leaves some “ BIG shoes to fill!” 🥰IYKYK

Yet, I said yes anyway. . . yet it was far from  an emphatic YES! However, I am thankful I was obedient to the assignment.

This request happened during one of the most emotional seasons of my life: learning to parent an 18-year-old year old,now 1000 miles away at college, knee deep in searching  for a  new career, and preparing to be  a wife.

That “yes” turned into a 31-day communal journey I will never forget—a journey that became just as much about my growth as it was about encouraging other parents( with children of all ages), leaders, teachers , GOD parents, grandparents and others.

Hosting While Healing

Stepping into the role of co-host sounded confident on the outside. However, on the inside, I was just another mom trying to navigate faith, family, and change.

Each day I showed up to pray with others, share scripture, and offer encouragement. I talked about trusting GOD, releasing control, while raising children and ourselves, with intention.

What I didn’t expect was how deeply those same messages would challenge me.

❤️‍🩹I encouraged participants to surrender their fears, as  I was surrendering my own.

❤️‍🩹I reminded others to trust GOD with their children, I was learning to trust Him with my daughter..

❤️‍🩹I spoke about equipping instead of rescuing, as I was practicing letting go in real time.

God used every single day to work on my heart posture. Breaking me down to position me for breakthrough.

Parenting From a Distance

No one prepared me for the emotional shift from raising a child to releasing one.

The house is quieter now. . .The routines are different.

There are fewer late-night talks and more quick phone calls between classes or calls with friends poppin' in for a quick, "Hi!"

Through this 31-day experience, I was reminded that my role as a mother has not ended—it has simply shifted.

I’ve learned to pray instead of panic. . .To listen more than lecture. . . To encourage rather than control.

Some days were harder than others. There were moments I wanted to fix things from afar, even jump on the next flight. Moments I missed her deeply and those moments I wondered if I had taught her enough.

However, I realized  I must be courageous and stand tall in my faith.  I think of  myself like a lighthouse tower , where I shed light and act as a navigational aid  from afar for my daughter , as she keeps GOD the closest.

Every prayer session, every verse, every reflection brought me back to the same truth:

She was God’s daughter before she was ever mine.

The Power of Community

One of the greatest blessings of co-hosting this virtual prayer line was the community that formed around it.

Parents and individuals that pour into children, from different places and stages came together with the same heart—to raise and support children who know God.

We shared struggles, celebrated victories small and large. We prayed for one another.

I realized something beautiful: none of us are meant to parent alone.

This 31-day journey reminded me that when parents and loved ones come together in faith, something powerful happens.

The Golden Nuggets

Over the course of this month, God reminded me in the most loving ways;

✨Consistency matters more than perfection.

✨Prayer changes the atmosphere of a family.

✨God fills the gaps we worry about.

✨Releasing a child doesn’t mean losing them.

✨Trusting God daily is the greatest act of parenting.

What resonated with most,is that parenting is not about holding on forever—it’s about preparing to let go well.

Reflect & Recommit

The final day of our journey called us to “Reflect and Recommit,” based on 2 Corinthians 13:5:

“Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves.”

As I reflected, I saw how much I had grown in just 31 days. I saw areas where God is still working on me.  I felt gratitude for the opportunity to walk this road with other Christ minded people .

I recommitted—not to being a perfect mother, but to being a praying one.

Not to attempt to control my child’s future, but to trust the One who holds it.

With Gratitude

I am truly honored by every person that  joined, prayed, and showed up each day. Thank you for trusting me to pour into you and your families. Your openness, participation, and commitment made this experience meaningful beyond words.

I am deeply thankful for my fellow co- hosts, Von and Antara, who faithfully served with me throughout this journey and beyond. I am honored that Antara trusted us with her vision.

Additionally, I am grateful for Cynthia,a SiSTAR in Christ, and Serenity, our Kingdom partner, of Kingdom Women with Kingdom Priorities (KWKP), for coming alongside us with powerful teachings, encouragement, while offering times of spiritual reprieve.

As a mother learning to release her own child into adulthood, I am even more appreciative of how precious this calling is for me. Parenting is sacred work—and none of its efforts is in vain.

💫To the parents missing their college student  —GOD sees YOU.

💫To the parent wondering if you did enough—YOU did more than you know.

💫To every family choosing faith on purpose—  YOU will persevere.

💫To the GOD parents, aunts/uncles, teachers, framily( friends that have become family), ministry leaders, social workers, mental health professionals-  YOU are appreciated.

This 31-day journey  was truly a community effort, and I am honored to have walked it with such incredible people of faith.

Looking Ahead

The 31days of Triumphant Parenting Prayerline of 2026 has come to an end, but the mission continues.

Going forward this year, Triumphant Parenting will remain connected and committed to supporting families through:

✅Our weekly prayer call Triumphant Thursdays at 6:00 am EST.

✅Monthly blogs filled with encouragement and practical parenting insight.

✅Virtual communication that offers encouragement, programming and resources.

This movement is not a moment—it is an ongoing ministry to individuals who desire to raise and/or support children with faith, wisdom, and intentionality.

As I close this chapter, I do so with a full heart, grateful spirit, and renewed commitment to keep walking this journey in community . 🙏🏽❤️‍🩹🙌🏽
